JERUSALEM: The United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, strongly condemned yesterday's attack by Israeli colonists who rampaged in the Palestinian village of Jit in the West Bank and terrorized its community. 'Concrete steps to ensure full accountability for all involved are urgently needed,' he stressed in a post on X. He called on the Israeli government to stop colonists' violence. More than 100 colonists, including armed men, attacked the village of jit last night and opened fire at citizens, which led to the killing of a young man and injured others. Four houses and six vehicles were also set on fire during the attack. Source: Palestine news & Information Agency - WAFA
