Jenin: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warned on Sunday against the occupation army's deployment of heavy tanks to the vicinity of Jenin, considering it a step towards escalating its aggression and expanding its crimes against the Palestinian people, especially in the northern West Bank and its refugee camps. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, this warning came at a time when the so-called Israeli 'Defense' Minister, Israel Katz, boasted that his forces would prevent displaced citizens from returning to their homes and instructed the military to remain in the area for an extended period. In a statement issued on Sunday evening, the Ministry condemned the remarks of Katz, the deployment of tanks, and the intimidation of defenseless Palestinian civilians, stressing that this constitutes a dangerous escalation in the West Bank. It represents an overt attempt to entrench a policy of genocide and displacement against an unarmed population, said the Ministry. The Ministry emphasized the urgent need for international intervention to curb the aggression of the occupation, which is carried out without regard for laws or signed agreements, and to compel it to cease its aggression against the Palestinian people and their rights, foremost of which is their right to remain on their land.
