Three drug dealers arrested in Erbil with 30 kilograms of crystal meth in their possession

The General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs at the Ministry of Interior announced today, Monday, the overthrow of a drug smuggling and promotion gang with international connections, in a joint operation between the security forces in Baghdad and Erbil. The Directorate stated in a statement that, by judicial decisions issued by the Central Investigation Court in Rusafa, a specialized working team was formed headed by the Director of the Rusafa Narcotics Affairs Directorate and in cooperation with the Kurdistan Region Narcotics Control Directorate in Erbil, to overthrow one of the drug trafficking gangs. It explained that an intelligence operation was carried out based on accurate secret information with an innovative tactic, which resulted in the arrest of three drug dealers with international connections, adding that they were arrested with 30 kilograms of crystal meth in their possession in Erbil Governorate.
