Casualties Reported in Israeli Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon

Gaza: Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on several towns in southern Lebanon on Saturday evening, resulting in fatalities and injuries.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the strikes targeted the towns of Safad al-Battikh, Kounine, Al-Jumayjmeh, Tebnine, and Beit Yahoun, killing two people and injuring others. The attacks have further escalated tensions in the region, contributing to the already volatile situation.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the strike on Safad al-Battikh resulted in a preliminary toll of two fatalities and 17 injuries, including women and children. The attack notably hit the town's entrance, disrupting the road between Safad al-Battikh and the nearby village of Al-Jumayjmeh, making access to the area difficult.

In addition to these strikes, Israeli forces executed a significant explosion in the town of Al-Taybeh, adding to the destruction in southern Lebanon.

Lebanon's health authorities have reported that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression since March 2 has now risen to 2,496, with 7,725 people injured. The cumulative casualties highlight the severe impact of the continued hostilities on the civilian population.
