Tribal and student protests took place on Sunday in Jabal Ras district of Hodeida province, in response to a call for solidarity with Gaza and Palestinian prisoners. The protests were held under the banner "World Day of Rage in Support of Gaza and Solidarity with Prisoners." Participants, including local and educational leaders as well as social figures, chanted slogans condemning the actions of the Zionist entity in Gaza and the mistreatment of prisoners in Israeli jails. The participants denounced the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas, and criticized the United Nations for its perceived inaction, which they argue enables further crimes against Palestinians. A statement issued by the protesters condemned the brutal conditions faced by Palestinian prisoners, describing the actions of the Israeli occupation as severe violations of religious and human values. The statement expressed unwavering solidarity with the prisoners and called for continued efforts to oppose the Zionist entity, emphasizing jihad as the solution to confront the enemy and achieve victory for the nation. It also criticized the lack of action from Arab and Islamic governments in response to the violence against Palestinians, urging all free people to fulfill their humanitarian responsibilities in supporting the Palestinian cause. The statement called on global citizens to expose the discrepancies between Western claims of upholding human rights and the reality of Israeli violations. Additionally, the statement demanded the immediate release of Palestinian resistance movement prisoners held by any regimes complicit in these injustices. Source: Yemen News Agency
