The UAE evacuated 97 injured people and critically ill people from the Gaza Strip, including cancer patients in need of intensive treatment and 155 of their family members to Abu Dhabi. Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, said: "The evacuation operation, the second from Ramon Airport, comes within the framework of the efforts made by the UAE to provide advanced healthcare to the injured Palestinians." She added: "This new mission to evacuate the injured and sick Palestinians confirms the UAE's firm commitment to supporting the Palestinian people during the catastrophic conditions facing the Strip, as we will continue to work diligently with international partners and the United Nations, and play a leading role to double and support efforts made to alleviate this humanitarian disaster."
