The President of the Republic stresses the importance of expediting the election of a new Speaker of the House of Representatives

President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received today, Wednesday, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, a delegation that included MPs Aref Al-Hamami, Hussein Al-Battat and Jassim Muhammad Youssef. During the meeting, developments in the political and economic situation in the country were discussed, as the President of the Republic stressed the importance of activating dialogue among the parliamentary forces and expediting the election of a new Speaker of the House of Representatives, in a way that ensures the continuation of its legislative and oversight work. The President explained the importance of cooperation and coordination among the political forces, and the importance of combining efforts to improve the services provided to citizens and work to improve their living conditions and follow up on the country's conditions at the political, security and economic levels. For their part, the members of the delegation expressed their thanks and gratitude to the President of the Republic for his nati onal proposals, stressing their keenness to carry out their responsibilities and duties to the fullest extent towards all the Iraqi people.
