A joint force from the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the army carried out a large security operation to secure and search the Hatra desert southwest of Nineveh. The Operations and Intelligence Department of the Command, the 44th Brigade within the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces, the Intelligence and Information Assistant, Explosives Engineering, Medicine, and units of the 43rd Brigade, 20th Division of the Iraqi Army participated in the operation. The operation aims to track down terrorist cells in the Hatra desert, and the terrorist cells had no chance of finding a foothold. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
