The Customs Value Committee, headed by the Undersecretary of the Customs Authority, Adnan Al-Ghafari, carried out today,Tuesday, a field visit to the facilities of the Oil Company branch in Hodeida province. Al-Ghafari, along with the director of the Hodeida Oil Company branch, Adnan Al-Jarmouzi, was briefed on the procedures related to the process of customs calculation of the quantities of imported petroleum derivatives (liters and tons), the price per ton, the conversion factor from ton to liter and from barrel to ton, and calculating density in practice. He also learned how to match the quantities specified in shipment documents (bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices) with the incoming and downloading quantities and issue an incoming statement by the oil company. The Undersecretary of the Customs Authority praised the cooperation of the leadership of the oil company branch in overcoming the tasks related to customs procedures. He was accompanied during the visit by the Deputy Directo r General of Value at the Customs Authority, Helan Abu Ali, and the Director of the Chemicals Department, Dr. Fares Al-Arabji Source: Yemen News Agency
