Jerusalem - Ma'an - The occupation municipality demolished a house in the town of Silwan on Tuesday, while three families continue to empty the contents of their homes in the town, to demolish them themselves, in order to avoid paying "fines/demolition fees." The occupation municipality crews stormed the Abu Rajab family home in the Al-Shiyah neighborhood in Silwan, and carried out an operation using manual demolition tools. It is worth noting that the house has been standing for 20 years, and the municipality demolished part of it (50 square meters), under the pretext of building without a permit. This morning, municipal bulldozers demolished a commercial facility in the industrial zone in Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood. Meanwhile, the Ghaith and Al-Qaoud families emptied their homes in the Wadi Yasoul neighborhood in the town of Silwan, to implement the final demolition decision issued by the municipality. The families explained that they were forced to vacate the house and began the demolition and dismantlin g process, in order to avoid paying 'fines/demolition fees to the municipality, its crews and the accompanying forces.'
