A banking official in the Capital Sana'a confirmed Wednesday the implementation of crucial points from a recent agreement, paving the way for the reactivation of the SWIFT service for Yemeni banks. The Central Bank of Yemen in the Capital Sana'a has also canceled certain measures to demonstrate goodwill, marking a significant step towards resolving obstacles faced by the banking sector and alleviating the financial hardships of the Yemeni people, the official added. The official made clear that the steps taken today are part of the measures stipulated in the agreement, stressing the necessity of fully implementing the terms of the agreement to remove all obstacles facing Yemeni banks.
