In a statement, the Spanish Presidential La Moncloa Palace said that this came during Spain and Egypt's review of strong bilateral relations, highlighting the decision to recognize the Palestinian state, and supporting its full United Nations membership. Prime Minister Sanchez extended his gratitude towards Egypt's efforts for a ceasefire and release of prisoners, underscoring Spain's full support and recognition of Palestine for peace and justice to flourish in the region. Earlier Monday, Foreign Minister Shoukry met with his Spanish counterpart Jose Manuel Albares at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs' headquarters, discussing the latest developments in the region.
