The Center for Religious Fatwas affiliated with the office of Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, highlighted the means to combat drugs in Iraq through the religious rulings related to their prohibition, as well as the religious rulings that emphasize the prohibition of taking bribes to overlook the promoters and traders of this toxic scourge, in addition to the prohibition of neglecting to perform security and procedural duties, then recommendations on what measures should be taken to eliminate this dangerous scourge on Iraqi society. This came through answering the religious fatwas received successively by the office of Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, and the questions answered in all legal, moral and procedural aspects.
