The Sewing center was opened in Bani Hashish district in Sana'a province to empower and support the families of martyrs and needy and poor. The center that supported by a community initiative and support from the General Authority for Zakat includes a sewing laboratory and training halls. The center aims to qualify and train female enrollees in the fields of sewing, embroidery and knitting as a first stage. Zakat Authority office director in Sana'a Abdulwahab al-Tuhaif explained that the center will contribute to providing a source of income for the trainees and beneficiaries, especially in light of the current conditions resulting from the aggression and siege. He stressed that the Authority's keenness to support and empower all segments of society to be active in the success of the economic battle and achieving self-sufficiency in various aspects of life.
