Local officials, including Hamoud al-Naqeeb, Sharaf al-Hadi, and Adel al-Aqari, inspected the progress of two sewage projects in Shoub district on Monday. The team reviewed Duwaid neighborhood sewage project, costing 45 million Y.R, which is 80% complete and funded with 40% community contribution. The project, managed by the General Administration for Implementation of Community Initiatives Projects, extends a 1,215-meter sewage network benefiting around 2,000 people. The officials also received al-Safwa neighborhood sewage project, valued at 46 million Y.R, with similar community funding. This project involves a 1,116-meter sewage network serving approximately 2,000 residents. Additionally, the local officials inspected a new solar energy system for a water well in the district, costing $109,819. The system, which includes a 158-kilowatt solar setup, aims to enhance water well productivity to 48 cubic meters per hour, benefiting 20,000 people. The local leaders commended the community's contributions and the efforts of the Water Corporation in improving water and sanitation services and expanding solar energy projects.
