Settlers attack Palestinian vehicles north of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, Monday– Israeli settlers Sunday evening attacked Palestinian vehicles near Sinjil town, north of Ramallah, according to local sources.

They said that Israeli settlers gathered at the entrance of the town, close to the bypass Road 60, and hurled stones at vehicles with Palestinian registration plates, causing damage to at least one.

The assailants attempted to break into a house at the outskirts of the town.

Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Settler violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

There are over 700,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
