The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Saturday, that the Ukrainian army lost on the axis of the Russian Kursk province during one day more than 300 soldiers and nine armored vehicles, including an infantry fighting vehicle, two armored personnel carriers, six armored fighting vehicles, six artillery pieces, a launcher, and a transport and loading vehicle for a rocket launcher. The Russian Ministry stated in a statement that its forces had thwarted Ukrainian attempts to launch counterattacks in the direction of the towns of Kamyshevka and Lyubimovka over the past 24 hours, resulting in the deaths and injuries of about 20 Ukrainian soldiers, noting that with the support of army aviation and artillery fire, three Ukrainian attempts to penetrate the Russian border in the direction of the towns of Novy Put and Medvezhye were repelled, where the Ukrainian side also lost about 20 soldiers, killed and wounded. It indicated that the total losses incurred by Ukrainian forces on the Kursk axis since the beg inning of the fighting on August 6 exceeded 15,650 soldiers, 124 tanks, 57 infantry fighting vehicles, 95 armored personnel carriers, 786 armored combat vehicles, 29 rocket launchers, in addition to other weapons and military equipment.
