The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday that peace is unattainable in the Middle East without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told a ministerial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-Russian strategic dialogue that peace cannot be achieved in the Middle East without resolving the Palestinian issue, the ministry said in a press release.
