The Qatari youth handball team achieved beat Hong Kong 46/19, in the match that brought them together Friday within the 9th to 13th place determination round in the 18th Asian Youth Handball Championship, held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, through July 25, qualifying for the 2025 World Championship in Poland. The Qatari team will meet on Saturday the Indian team in the same round, and will conclude their matches by facing Chinese Taipei next Tuesday. The Qatari team finished third in the fourth group in the group stage with 3 points, as they tied in the first match with Japanese team 25/25, while lost the second match against the Korean team 24/33, and won in the third match against the Chinese team in Taipei 29/26. The top four teams qualify for the 2025 World Championship in Poland. The Qatari national team won the Asian Youth Handball Championship five times in 1994, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016.
