Qatari newspapers condemned the Israeli widespread aggression on the West Bank in conjunction with its brutal and devastating war on the Gaza Strip which left dozens of martyrs and wounded. In their editorials on Sunday, the Qatari dailies called on the international community to intervene to stop the assault on the Gaza Strip and the northern West Bank, and to force the Israeli entity to abide by the international will for peace and end its occupation of the land of Palestine. Locally, the newspapers noted the start of the new academic year for more than 378 thousand students. In its editorial entitled "Devastating War on Two Fronts," Al-Watan said that the Israeli occupation forces continued yesterday its assault against the city of Jenin and its camp in the occupied West Bank for the fourth day in a row, along with incursions and confrontations in Hebron, Qalqilya and Tubas. Al-Watan pointed to the Palestinian Foreign Ministry's warning against the Israeli occupation's escalation in the occupied West B ank, including East Jerusalem, with the aim of accelerating the crimes of colonialism, gradual annexation, and breaking the will of steadfastness of the Palestinian people, which would cause an explosion of the situation in the West Bank and the entire region. The paper believed that the actions of the far-right Israeli government are an attempt to impose new changes on reality by force, in a way that serves its colonial interests. In conclusion, Al-Watan called on the international community to quickly intervene to stop the aggression, especially in the Gaza Strip and the northern West Bank, and to force the occupying state to comply with the international will for peace and end its occupation of the land of the State of Palestine. Under the headline "Destructive War of Revenge," Al-Raya considered that the Israeli occupations criminal dropping of 82,000 tons of explosives on the besieged Gaza Strip, which has an area of 360 km2, constitutes a war crime against humanity and an unprecedented war of extermi nation in history against a defenseless people who have been facing a brutal, bloody aggression for nearly 11 months, resulted in the deaths of more than 40,000 while the number is expected to exceed the threshold of 100,000 with tens of thousands of missing persons under millions of tons of debris extending from Beit Hanoun in the north to Rafah in the far south of the Strip. The destruction of more than 430 thousand housing units reveals the real and sole goal of the Israeli aggression, which is not to recover the prisoners, rather a destructive revenge war aims to uproot the people of Gaza from their land and expel them to neighboring countries, Al-Raya said. The Israeli crimes have exceeded all limits. They have targeted hospitals, shelters, displaced persons, universities, schools, and United Nations vehicles working in the humanitarian field, in order to inflict the greatest harm through the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians, the paper stressed.
