Geneva: The State of Qatar participated in the 20th meeting of the Governing Board of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), held Tuesday in Geneva, Switzerland. HE Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Al Hanzab chaired the Qatari delegation at the meeting. In his address to the meeting, His Excellency highlighted that the State of Qatar is one of the largest donors to the fund since its inception, pointing to its diligent efforts and initiatives aimed at addressing the root causes that fuel violent extremism. HE the Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs also pointed out the State of Qatar's role in supporting fragile communities in partnership with the GCERF and member states, aiming to achieve security and stability in various conflict-affected areas.
