Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces issued on Monday notices of the demolition of a number of homes and facilities in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and stormed Al-Issawiya neighborhood, northeast of Jerusalem.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources reported that the occupation forces, accompanied by crews from the occupation municipality in Jerusalem, stormed Ein Al-Lawza neighborhood in Silwan. They notified the demolition of several homes and facilities, while also imposing fines on the vehicles of residents in Al-Issawiya.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission highlighted that the occupation authorities carried out a total of 684 demolition operations for 903 facilities in the West Bank, including the city of Jerusalem, during 2024. Additionally, they issued 936 demolition notices for Palestinian facilities.
