Doha: The State of Qatar has publicly condemned the recent storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by Israeli colonists and the attack on the Hajjah Hamida Mosque located in the village of Kafr Haris, northwest of Salfit. These actions have been described as a violation of international law and United Nations resolutions.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement asserting that any attempts to change the religious and historical status of Al-Aqsa Mosque are an affront not only to Palestinians but also to millions of Muslims around the world.
The Ministry further emphasized Qatar’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. This includes their right to freely practice their religious beliefs and the establishment of an independent state within the borders of 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
