Ramallah: The Palestinian Presidency has released a statement reinforcing its commitment to a unified national system for social protection and welfare, aligning with international standards. The statement highlighted the recent issuance of Decree-Law No. (4) of 2025, which focuses on the establishment and responsibilities of the Palestinian National Institution for Economic Empowerment.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, President Mahmoud Abbas underscored that this institution is now the sole entity responsible for the implementation of the decree-law. This includes disbursing financial allocations and applying eligibility criteria with fairness and transparency. The law is expected to be implemented in its entirety, ensuring no exceptions.
The statement clarified that no financial allocations would be released to any category within the new system until the unified form, approved by the Palestinian National Foundation for Economic Empowerment, is completed and all eligibility conditions are met. It emphasized the irrelevance of other governmental bodies or institutions regarding disbursement files or financial allocation programs following the enactment of the law.
Furthermore, the Presidency warned against any violation or obstruction of the law's requirements, highlighting that the Palestinian National Foundation for Economic Empowerment is fully responsible for its implementation and monitoring. The statement called on beneficiaries to cooperate fully with the institution, completing the necessary unified form through official channels to ensure fair and transparent allocation of resources.
