Speaking at the signing ceremony, Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, CEO of Qatar Charity (QC), underscored the importance of supporting the Palestinian people during this critical time. This partnership with UNRWA represents another step in providing immediate relief and delivering essential aid to those in need." "Humanitarian actors are facing severe limitations and delays that hinder much needed aid delivery for Gaza, highlighting the necessity for increased humanitarian access. Humanitarian efforts, however, cannot replace the urgency for a ceasefire to end the unprecedent ed suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip," he added. Ben Majekodunmi, UNRWA Chief of Staff, expressed his gratitude for Qatar Charitys generous support. "UNRWA is the backbone of the humanitarian operation in Gaza, and our incredible staff are working tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of the population there. We are grateful for Qatar Charitys support, which is critical to provide much needed humanitarian assistance, including food, shelter and healthcare in Gaza, especially in the run up to the polio vaccination campaign. We commend Qatar Charity for being a reliable partner of the UN family, supporting UN humanitarian operations in different locations worldwide." Source: Qatar News Agency
