Israeli Aggression in Tulkarm Reaches 57 Days Amid Military Reinforcement

Tulkarm: Israeli aggression enters its 57th day as escalation continues. The Israeli occupation maintains its aggressive stance on the city of Tulkarm and its camp, marking 57 consecutive days, and on the Nur Shams camp for 44 days. This prolonged conflict unfolds amidst an increase in military reinforcements and the forced displacement of residents.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the aggression intensified after midnight when occupation forces dispatched additional military reinforcements to the city and its camps. The reinforcements included heavy machinery and bulldozers, accompanied by police vehicles, while helicopters and reconnaissance aircraft hovered over the area.

The occupation forces deployed their equipment around the Nur Shams camp and the Manshiyya neighborhood, enforcing a tight siege. They seized dozens of homes, converting them into military barracks after forcibly evacuating the residents.

In several neighborhoods of Tulkarm camp, such as Al-Hadaida, Al-Matar, Al-Raba'a, Qaqoun, and Marbat Hanoun, residents are being forced to leave their homes under the threat of demolition and arson. This has led to significant forced displacement within these neighborhoods.

The Israeli forces also stormed the Shuweika and Dhinaba neighborhoods, utilizing heavy machinery and bulldozers. Their presence obstructed the movement of vehicles and civilians throughout the streets and neighborhoods.

Furthermore, more than eight residential buildings in the vicinity of the northern neighborhood's traffic circle adjacent to Nablus Street have been seized by the occupation forces. The residents were forcibly evacuated, turning these buildings into military barracks and the area into a closed military zone.

Military presence on Nablus Street has been amplified, with parts closed off by earth mounds. Measures restricting vehicle movement include stopping and searching vehicles and detaining passengers for extended durations after checking their IDs.

The ongoing escalation has tragically resulted in the killing of 13 citizens, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens more have been injured and arrested. Over 24,000 individuals have been forcibly displaced from the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, alongside numerous families from the northern neighborhood of the city.

The aggression has also led to widespread destruction, encompassing the complete and partial demolition of homes, shops, and vehicles, as well as incidents of burning, vandalizing, looting, and theft. Entrances and alleys of the camps have been blocked with earth mounds.
