RAMALLAH: Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa engaged in a dialogue with EU Commissioner for Mediterranean Affairs Dubravka Šuica on Thursday, addressing critical developments in Palestine amidst intensified Israeli occupation activities in Gaza and the West Bank, including Jerusalem. The discussion focused on the need for increased international intervention and humanitarian aid to alleviate the ongoing crisis. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, during the phone conversation, Prime Minister Mustafa emphasized the necessity of global pressure to cease Israeli occupation's aggressive actions and to ensure the delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza. He highlighted the dire situation faced by Palestinians in the conflict-ridden region and the need for immediate relief measures. Prime Minister Mustafa extended congratulations to Commissioner Šuica on her recent appointment, acknowledging her potential to significantly impact Euro-Mediterranean cooperation. He expressed appreciation for the European Commission's enduring partnership with the Palestinian Government, which has resulted in successful joint initiatives. The Prime Minister called for enhanced collaboration with the EU, particularly in Gaza reconstruction efforts, stressing the importance of mobilizing international resources to rebuild and stabilize affected areas. Commissioner Šuica reiterated the EU's commitment to assisting the Palestinian Government across the West Bank and Gaza.
