Israeli Colonists Establish New Outpost Near Salfit

Salfit: Israeli colonists on Thursday established a new colonial outpost to the northwest of Bruqin town, west of the occupied West Bank city of Salfit, according to a researcher.

According to Palestine news and Information Agency - WAFA, Raed Mauqadi detailed that colonists laid the groundwork for establishing the outpost south of the bypass Road 60. This location is notably close to educational and residential areas, being only about 100 meters from the Bruqin Girls and Boys Basic Schools and approximately 50 meters from the inhabitants' houses.

Mauqadi highlighted that Road 60 serves as a connection between the Bruchin and Beduel colonies, both of which have been constructed on land belonging to Bruqin town. He emphasized that the establishment of the new outpost presents a direct threat to local inhabitants and school students. The proximity of the outpost to 13 families residing in the area underscores the potential impact on the local community. This development is seen as part of ongoing efforts to expand colonial presence on the town's land.

The report notes that approximately 1 million Israeli colonists reside in colonies across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, activities deemed in violation of international law.
