Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held on Monday a phone conversation with HE Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Lebanon Nabih Berri. The discussion focused on bilateral cooperation relations and ways for enhancing and developing them. It also addressed the latest developments in Lebanon and ways for de-escalation, in addition to a range of issues of mutual concern. During the call, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar's deep concern about the recent developments in Lebanon, and its support for efforts aimed at reaching a ceasefire. He emphasized that Qatar's priority is to do everything possible to stop the aggression on Lebanon, de-escalate the situation, and promote security and stability in the region. For his part, HE the Lebanese Parliament Speaker expressed his thanks and appreciation to the State of Qatar for its support to Lebanon to overcome its difficult circumstances.
