NEW YORK: UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini says Jenin has been 'ravaged by violence (and) destruction' for the seventh day due to the ongoing Israeli military aggression on the West Bank. 'Meanwhile in the West Bank, for more than six days now, Jenin has been ravaged by violence + destruction. This is causing loss of life and injuries, including among civilians + severe damage to infrastructure,' Lazzarini said on X. 'Residents have limited access to food, water and medicine,' he added while noting that the UNRWA was working with humanitarian and local partners to deliver urgently needed aid for residents. He called for the 'immediate protection of civilians across the West Bank, including in the north.' Source: Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA
