RAMALLAH: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Sunday evening, congratulating him on the success of the democratic process and his victory in the presidential elections for a new term. President Abbas wished Algeria further progress and prosperity, praising the pioneering role it plays in serving the Palestinian cause, stressing the continuation of work between the two countries to strengthen bilateral relations. In turn, President Tebboune thanked President Abbas for the call, stressing that the Palestinian cause was and will remain at the top of Algeria's priorities.
