PM Mustafa Urges Decisive International Action to End Aggression: “Enough Disregard for Palestinian Life and Dignity”

New york: Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa affirmed Monday that "the Palestinian people have the right to live in freedom and dignity in their homeland, just as every nation in the world deserves to live in peace and security."

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Prime Minister emphasized that achieving peace requires recognizing the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, including self-determination, the right of return, and the establishment of an independent, sovereign State of Palestine based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. He stressed the necessity for the international community to transition from mere condemnation to implementing concrete measures that compel Israel to cease annexation, settlement activities, and other acts of aggression impacting Palestinian life.

Dr. Mustafa's remarks were delivered during the plenary session of the UN High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution. The session, held at the UN General Assembly Hall in New York, was attended by high-profile figures including Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, French Foreign Minister Jean-No«l Barrot, UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres, and General Assembly President Dennis Francis.

The Prime Minister reiterated confidence that the conference would aid in ending hostilities in Gaza, terminating the Israeli occupation, and facilitating the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state. He called for the mobilization of political, financial, and economic support for the Palestinian government, emphasizing the need for convening a donor conference promptly to bolster state institutions and advance reform plans.

Dr. Mustafa urged the international community to reject any justification from Israel for targeting Palestinian civilians, medical personnel, humanitarian teams, and journalists, as well as the imposition of collective punishment on the Gaza Strip. He highlighted the systematic destruction of infrastructure and obstruction of humanitarian aid, calling for immediate resolutions to halt aggression and displacement.

The Prime Minister concluded with a call for urgent action to protect Palestinian life and dignity, underscoring the need for a clear message against continued disregard for Palestinian rights.
