Baghdad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani expressed Iraq's happiness in hosting the Arab conferences that confirm its return to taking its natural position in the region and the world. Al-Sudani stressed during his meeting with the delegation of the Union of Arab Banks that the financial and economic reform process adopted by the government cannot occur without a solid banking system that is in harmony with the world. He said that the government has included this matter within its development and reform work since its first day, and that Iraqi banks are today on the right path in their transactions related to financial transfers. He added that coordination of financial and monetary policy with the Central Bank of Iraq continues, while maintaining the bank's independence. He stressed that the clarity policy adopted by the government helped identify the defects in the banking system and worked to fix them. He pointed out that the development road project is one of the aspects of economic integration in the region, as he welcomed holding a banking workshop to discuss the role of banks in the project and in establishing industrial cities along the road.
