Ramallah: Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Hussein al-Sheikh, engaged in discussions today with European Union Representative to Palestine, Alexander Stutzmann, focusing on strategies to halt the ongoing aggression in the Gaza Strip and address the situation faced by Palestinians in the northern region. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the meeting, held in Ramallah, also concentrated on the swift delivery of food and medical aid, emphasizing the need for regional and international cooperation. Al-Sheikh expressed gratitude to the European Union for its political and financial support to the Palestinian government and people, highlighting the importance of EU intervention to halt hostilities and provide immediate humanitarian assistance to Gaza residents. Stutzmann reiterated the European Union's commitment to supporting a political path that fosters stability and security in the region. He emphasized that such efforts should contribute to achieving a two-state solution, facilitating the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
