Beirut: Hussein al-Sheikh, the Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), welcomed today the announcement of a ceasefire in Lebanon, calling on the international community to pressure Israel to stop the war against the Palestinian people. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, al-Sheikh expressed his support for the ceasefire through a post on X. He urged global leaders to exert pressure on Israel to halt its actions in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, referring to them as a "criminal war." He also called for an end to all escalatory measures against Palestinians.
