PCBS Report Shows Decrease in Producer Price Index During September in Palestine


Ramallah: A report issued by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) showed a decrease in the Producer Price Index (PPI) during September.



According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine, with its base year set at 2019 = 100, reached 226.70 in September 2025. This marks a decrease of 2.56% compared to August 2025. The report further detailed that the Producer Price Index for locally consumed products also decreased, reaching 237.32 in September 2025, which is a 2.70% decline from the previous month.



The Producer Price Index for local exported products remained stable at 127.60 during September 2025. The changes in PPI for September 2025 can be attributed to price fluctuations in various major activities compared to the previous month. Specifically, the manufacturing sector saw a 7.28% decrease, while water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities experienced a 1.03% decline. Additionally, agriculture, forestry, and fishing activities decreased by 0.46%. In contrast, mining and quarrying activities remained unchanged, and there was a 1.67% increase in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply.
