Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa discussed on Sunday with Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom the developments in the Gaza Strip. During the meeting, Mustafa called for an end to the Israeli aggression on the strip, intensifying relief and humanitarian efforts, restoring basic services in Gaza, and putting an end to the occupation army's attacks and settler terrorism in the occupied West Bank. The Palestinian Premier pointed out that settlements and settler terrorism constitute obstacles to peace and to achieving the two-state solution, adding that the day-after should see the Gaza Strip reunite with the West Bank under the institutions of an independent Palestinian state. For his part, the Swedish Foreign Minister expressed his country's support for ceasefire efforts in Gaza, condemned the construction of settlements for being a violation of international law, and supported efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region as a whole.
