Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called Friday for an immediate halt to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. He said, in a speech during his participation in the 79th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly, that the Israeli entity is committing systematic massacres against the Palestinian people, adding that condemnation alone is not enough, but rather work must be done to immediately stop the "bloodshed and genocide." The Pakistani Prime Minister stressed the need to work to provide lasting peace for the Palestinians through the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, also calling for the acceptance of the State of Palestine as a member of the United Nations. Sharif also condemned, in the strongest terms, the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, saying that it increased the risk of the war expanding in the region. On the other hand, the Pakistani Prime Minister called for finding a solution to the conflict in Jammu and Kashmir, demanding the implementation of relevant Security Council and UN resolutions to resolve the conflict, and called for ending the war in Ukraine and finding a peaceful solution to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. On the Afghan, Shehbaz Sharif stressed Pakistan's desire to improve the situation in Afghanistan, saying that Islamabad has joined the UN appeal for $3 billion in humanitarian aid for the Afghan people.
