Gaza Death Toll Rises to 58,026 Amid Ongoing Conflict with Israel

Gaza: The death toll from the Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip has risen to 58,026, with 138,520 others injured, since October 7, 2023. Medical sources reported a significant increase in casualties as the conflict continues to escalate.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, among the fatalities, there are 7,450 people slain and 26,479 others injured since last March 18, a period marked by the resumption of aggression against the Gaza Strip following a ceasefire agreement. The recent surge in violence has dramatically increased the number of casualties.

Medical sources further detailed that within the past 24 hours, 28 individuals seeking aid were killed, and more than 180 were injured, bringing the total number of those who arrived at hospitals since the conflict began to 833 slain and over 5,400 injured. The dire situation continues to strain medical facilities in the region.

The sources also indicated that 139 slain civilians have arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals within the past day, including five who were recovered, along with 425 injured. A significant number of victims remain trapped under debris or stranded on roads, with rescue operations hindered by ongoing hostilities, preventing ambulance and rescue crews from reaching them.
