The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the incursion of extremist Yehuda Glick and groups of settlers into the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque, guarded by Israeli occupation police, calling it a provocation of all Muslims' feelings and a clear violation of relevant international conventions, agreements, and resolutions. The OIC also warned of the danger of Israeli occupation violations in Jerusalem, emphasizing that Israel, the occupying power, has no sovereignty over Jerusalem and its holy sites, and that the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif, in its entirety, is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims. The OIC called on the UN Security Council and UNESCO to assume their responsibilities to put an end to all serious and repeated Israeli violations of the sanctity of holy sites and freedom of worship, and renewed its call on the international community to stop the Israeli aggression completely and immediately and to provide international protection for the Palestinian people, their lan d, and their holy sites.
