HEBRON: A Palestinian youth was shot dead and his two brothers injured this evening, one of them seriously, by Israeli occupation soldiers at the entrance of the town of Beit Awwa, southwest of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to medical sources. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams received the body of one martyr in addition to two wounded Palestinian individuals after they had been targeted by Israeli gunfire at the entrance the town. They were subsequently transported to hospital. WAFA correspondent reported that Najmeddin Shawamreh, 28, was shot dead in the heart, while one of his brothers was hit with three live bullets in the abdomen, chest, and limbs, and his condition was described as critical. The injury of the third sibling was described as minor. The three were gathering herbs at the entrance of the town when the deadly assault occurred, according to witnesses. Dr. Mohammed Rabi, the director of Dura Hospital, informed WAFA correspondent that Shawamreh was dir ectly shot in the heart, while his brother sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, abdomen, and limbs. He was rushed into the operating room, and his condition was described as critical. The third sibling suffered minor injuries.
