Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, stressed today, Saturday, the importance of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections to renew legitimacy. Barzani said in a speech he delivered during his participation in an election festival for the Democratic Party in Dohuk; "I, my brother Masrour Barzani and the leadership of the Democratic Party are meeting here in this steadfast province to renew the pledge to the immortal Barzani approach and record another historic victory for the Kurdistan Democratic Party." He added that "these elections are very important for the Democratic Party and all the people of Kurdistan." He explained that the elections are "important for Kurdistan to renew the legitimacy of our institutions and the mission of the Democratic Party to achieve victory because the victory of the Democratic Party is a victory for Kurdistan." He continued that "the victory of the Democratic Party is a guarantor of the rights of all components of Kurdistan and a guarantee of a brighter future for Kurdistan." He pointed out that "the region is full of complexities and in this region we need a strong leadership and a strong party and without a doubt this leadership is the Democratic Party and this party is the Democratic Party."
