On behalf of Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Vice President of the Royal Scientific Society, Arafat Awajan, inaugurated the 13th UCMAS National Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition at Al-Ahliyya Amman University. The event, organized by UCMAS Jordan, saw the participation of 240 contestants from across the Kingdom. The competition also marked the graduation of the 2024 cohort, who successfully completed all ten levels of the UCMAS program. Students Sama Iskandar Al-Suri and Tala Muhammad Abu Rayala reflected on UCMAS's impactful journey and expressed gratitude to those who contributed to its success. Notably, winners of this national version of the UCMAS competition will go on to represent Jordan at the international competition, to be held in New Delhi, India, this December. UCMAS is a mental development program designed for students aged 4 to 13, utilizing arithmetic operations with the traditional Chinese Abacus to enhance cognitive abilities and improve academic performance.
