Doha: The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) announced opening nominations for the 6th edition of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Housing Award 2024-2025, held under the theme of digital/smart applications and technologies in housing projects and programs. The Ministry stated that this year's award topics include four main axes: the project's economic impact due to the use of applications or technologies, the project's time impact and workflow improvement due to the use of applications or technologies, the innovative and unique applications or technologies providing technical and practical solutions, and user-friendly applications or technologies. Applicants are required to cover at least two of these axes, with the deadline being February 1st. Regarding the awards, Director of the Housing Department at MSDF Nasser bin Muhanna Al Mannai said that the top three winners will receive cash prizes: the 1st-place winner will receive QR 200,000, the 2nd-place winner will receive QR 100,000, and t he 3rd-place winner receives QR 75,000. The Ministry will review nominations to ensure compliance with the Award's conditions before submitting them to the GCC Secretariat-General.
