The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 170 wanted persons and violators of residency requirements in Al-Ghadir and New Baghdad areas in the capital. A statement by the Rusafa Police Command stated, 'Under the supervision of the Baghdad Rusafa Police Commander, Major General Shaalan Ali Saleh Al-Hasnawi, the Command forces carried out a large raid and search campaign within the areas of New Baghdad and Al-Ghadeer, to arrest wanted persons and those violating residency conditions, and to search hotels, cafés, and suspicious places. The outcome of the security operation was the arrest of (42) ) accused wanted in various criminal cases and violators, and against (74) people, including 2 women of different nationalities, who violated residency requirements, and the arrest of (25) women of foreign nationality (begging and prostitution), and (27) begging children of foreign nationality, and seized a weapon , Kalashnikov assault rifle and a wounding tool, to be detained to complete the legal procedures aga inst them.
