Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stressed the importance of the role of tribes in strengthening the state's strength and supporting the law. A statement from his media office stated that al-Sudani received, today, Saturday, a group of sheikhs and dignitaries of the Shammar tribe from Nineveh Governorate, where he stressed the importance of the role of tribes in strengthening the state's strength and supporting the law, as it represents a social umbrella for all citizens, and that the Iraqi tribes have always stood with the state since its establishment, and made sacrifices in order to protect Iraq and its independence. The Prime Minister stressed, according to the statement, the need to unite to face the challenges that the region is experiencing today, noting that Iraq has overcome the difficult stages thanks to the societal awareness embodied by social activities in various forms, including tribes and clans, and is heading towards a development renaissance thanks to the stability achieved after the victory over terrorism. For their part, the delegation members praised the importance of what the government is working on in the framework of agricultural development, the development of irrigation methods and irrigation projects, in addition to the service projects witnessed by Nineveh Governorate, which support the local economy of the governorate and all of Iraq.
