Ramallah - Ma'an - The Minister of Labor and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cooperative Work Authority, Dr. Enas Attari, with the Chairman of the Authority, Bilal Thawaba, and the Authority's employees, discussed ways to develop the Authority's work as a basic lever for employment and reducing unemployment rates, this came during her visit to the Authority. Dr. Attari stressed the importance of advancing the cooperative sector in Palestine, given the role of cooperative work at the societal and economic levels, as it is a fundamental driver of sustainable development. The Chairman of the Authority pointed out the importance of strengthening the cooperative culture and spreading awareness about it, considering that cooperatives are a vital part of the Palestinian social solidarity economy, and their effective role in supporting the local economy, noting the importance of organizing the cooperative sector and its future challenges. The Authority gave a presentation to Dr. Attari about cooperative societies and the cooperative sector and its importance in supporting the local economy and promoting social inclusiveness.
