The Minister of Justice of the caretaker government, Judge Nabil Al-Azani, met on Tuesday with the Rule of Law Officer at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Sana'a, Badr Farouk. During the meeting, which was attended by the head of the technical office, Judge Khaled Al-Baghdadi, aspects of cooperation and coordination between the two sides were discussed, and a work matrix was developed to promote human rights, improve judicial services, and spread a culture of the rule of law. In the meeting, the Minister of Justice stressed the importance of the role of the High Commission in informing international public opinion of the crimes of the US-Saudi aggression against the Yemeni people and its violations of human rights, pointing to the judiciary's keenness to provide legal aid to the indigent by providing lawyers in the various stages of litigation in criminal and juvenile cases. He touched on the support that could be provided by the Commission to the judiciary in the tec hnical aspect and capacity development, stressing the keenness to advance judicial work with the aim of preserving human rights, achieving societal satisfaction, and achieving justice in society. In turn, Farouk stressed the keenness of the High Commission to enhance cooperation with the government side and provide possible support to enhance human rights, the rule of law, and improve judicial services. The meeting was attended by the chief specialist for international cooperation affairs, Adnan Al-Salhi, the director of international cooperation, Nassar Al-Dhari, and the chief specialist for relations and media affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Zayed.
