Ankara, An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale struck on Wednesday Malatya state, southern Turkiye. The epicenter of the earthquake occurred in the Dogansehir district, at a depth of 13.9 km, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported. There have been no reports of casualties or material losses due to the earthquake, as teams are conducting a field survey in the area. A violent 7.7-magnitude earthquake hit southern Turkiye and northern Syria February 2023, followed by a 7.6-magnitude quake and thousands of violent aftershocks, which resulted in tens of thousands of victims, and caused massive devastation.
