The Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, Dr. Ali Saif, inspected the status and level of performance of the wastewater treatment plant in the Capital Sanaa. The minister, with his deputy, Adel Badir, listened to an explanation from the director of the Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation in the capital's municipality, Eng. Mohamed Madas, on the progress of the treatment plant and drying basins, and the problems it faces, especially during rains and torrential flows, as well as the needs to improve its work. The Minister of Electricity and Water stressed on the leadership of the Corporation to speed up the completion of the expansion project and raise the efficiency of the wastewater treatment plant, in a way that contributes to overcoming the difficulties. He praised the efforts of the workers at the station. He pointed to the importance of coordination with the relevant authorities in order to implement appropriate works and treatments, which contribute to alleviating some of the problems fac ing the work of the wastewater treatment plant.
